Submission Rules

  1. Please do not submit the same manuscript to another conference. A manuscript of "double submission" would not be published. Needless to say, only the manuscript of unpublished papers can be submitted. I3E 2008 will not consider manuscripts that have already been published in previous conference proceedings or journals.
  2. Initial submission requires full paper. No abstract will be reviewed. Manuscripts must be written in English.
  3. Submitted manuscript can be replaced by a revised version till the deadline using only the online submission system. Please do not send us a revised one attached on e-mail.
  4. Manuscripts are reviewed with a double-blind review process. That is to say, neither reviewers' nor authors' identities are revealed to the other party. Therefore, do not include author information (name, affiliation, address etc.) in your manuscript of initial submission. Especially, please pay attention to the information in the acknowledgement section.
  5. Only the paper to be presented at I3E 2008 will be published. At least one of the authors must register and present the paper at the conference. For the presenter coming from certain countries, a visa will be issued by a Japanese consulate in their country. Please be aware that in some cases, it takes more than one month to obtain a visa.
  6. Accepted papers will be published by Springer within the IFIP book series. They should be at most 12 pages long in total, including bibliography and well-marked appendices, according to the template available at: http://springer.com/series/6102. 2 extra pages can be added but authors will be charged an extra fee (JPY 30,000) for each extra page in publication.
  7. When submitting to industrial and administration track, please add a keyword "industrial and administration track" to the keyword list on the submission page.

Submission Deadline

Submission deadline is extended. Submission deadline of manuscripts is April 15, 2008 April 25, 2008 (Local Time, GMT+9h). Notification of acceptance is May 31, 2008.
